Painting week: Hotel Post am See - Acryl am Achensee
What you can expect
The "Post am See" is located directly on the shores of Lake Achensee, surrounded by the Karwendel Nature Park. For more than 100 years, this beautiful hotel has been a place of peace and relaxation. The modern traditional house impresses with its unique location, as it is situated directly on the lakeshore. Enjoy the view of the clear blue of Lake Achensee or the impressive Karwendel massif from one of the sun balconies. A well-tempered indoor pool, a year-round heated outdoor pool, a separate whirlpool and a spacious sauna area with plenty of rest and relaxation zones and spectacular lake views round off your stay for a holistic sense of well-being. In the à la carte restaurant, on the sun terrace, in the See Bistro, but above all as a guest with half board, you will be spoiled with Tyrolean, international and vegetarian cuisine.
The theme of the painting course is "People".
We will focus on the structure of a picture, gain experience with coloring and get to know the "pouring technique". The aim is to promote the joy of creative activity, regardless of whether you are a beginner or already have experience.
4 painting days, Mon.-Thurs. 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. in the hotel's own studio with fantastic lake view, (Sun. & Fri. are arrival and departure days without painting course)

We spent a wonderfully inspiring time in a picturesque location. Maria responded with great empathy to the individual needs of each participant. With a lot of patience, she helped me to immortalize my personal works of art on the canvas. They were great painting days in the Kaunertal. The feeling of happiness stayed with me for a long time in my everyday working life. Everything was just right: a great and very competent course instructor, a small painting group, enough space to paint, beautiful autumn weather, unique accommodation with a warm and open host and authentic cuisine of a high standard. The painting courses in Maria's studio in Nenzing or on painting days, e.g. near Venice, are characterized by Maria's high level of pedagogical competence and her importance as an artist. Her support and guidance lead to respectable success for all participants. The ambience of the locations, which is characterized by Maria's careful selection, makes even the painting-free hours an experience. The group spirit is incredibly collaborative as a result.
In October 2023, I was able to experience an extraordinary painting trip with and thanks to Maria Gabriel at an extraordinary location, Villa Rosa Rose/Treviso. Maria knows how to pick up the most diverse "creative" people where they are, to bring them forward in an unagitated way, and to combine enjoyment and culture in the beautiful surroundings of the location. This year was the first time I, a beginner painter, went on a painting trip to Italy with Maria and it was simply wonderful! She chooses very special places for her courses, takes a lot of time for the participants and is an inspiring and talented teacher. The atmosphere in our course was just great and everyone, from beginners to professionals, was able to develop and take home some great pictures. I will definitely be back again.
Maria can awaken great joy in painting with her ❤️-lichen way. Even less experienced "artists" learn to realize their own works and ideas with more self-confidence and courage. I have already attended several courses with her and have really learned a lot. She approaches everyone personally with a lot of patience and humor!
