What you can expect

The Monastero Arx Vivendi is located in Arco, just a 10-minute drive from Lake Garda. The former monastery is now home to 40 stylishly designed rooms and suites. We are warmly welcomed by a young host family who look after their guests with passion and warmth. A look behind the historic walls reveals an atmosphere that tells stories without the need for words. In this very special ambience, guests have all the time in the world to forget about time. So, get out of your everyday life and into the monastery - a place that offers peace, inspiration and relaxation!

The painting course in the old nunnery offers you a unique opportunity to develop your artistic skills. The painting course involves painting exclusively with acrylic paints on canvas. There is no set theme; each participant can paint whatever their heart desires. I will introduce you to a variety of techniques, including my own pour art technique, a further development of the pour technique, which produces fascinating effects. Whether you are interested in realistic representations or abstract art, I will help you to realize your ideas. The course is aimed at beginners and advanced students alike; I meet each participant where they are at and encourage individual growth.

Our painting area is located in the beautiful inner courtyard between the historic walls of the monastery. As we paint outdoors, there may be slight shifts in the course times due to the weather. If we need to take a break, we use the hotel's indoor rooms so that the creative time remains valuable for everyone. The special atmosphere in the open air makes painting an unforgettable experience, and with a little flexibility we can enjoy inspiring days full of art and relaxation together.
